MTA VIETNAM2018 ONCE AGAIN SUPPORTS THE GROWTH OF VIETNAM’S PRECISION ENGINEERING AND MANUFACTURING SECTORS
Ho Chi Minh City, 29 May 2018 – MTA Vietnam2018 is planning for an impressive coming back. The most trustworthy and highly international precision engineering, machine tools and metalworking exhibition will be held from 03 to 06 July 2018 at Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC) featuring a strong line-up of leading technology and service providers.
The overview of Vietnamese Mechanical Industry in early 2018
According to Vietnam Association of Mechanical Industry (VAMI), from the start of 2018, Vietnam’s mechanical industry has accomplished many significant achievements, reaching a 20% growth rate. Vietnam’s participation in many Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) along with the prospects for the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), which is seen as a counter to the TPP after the US withdrawal, is likely to keep Vietnam as a promising destination for Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). Currently, the total capital of Vietnamese mechanical state-owned companies is about 360 - 380 million USD and the total of FDI in Vietnam manufacturing industry is about 2.1 billion USD, and growing.
Data from the General Statistics Office has indicated that Vietnam has more than 3,000 mechanical enterprises, including 450 state-owned companies, 1,250 factories and 156 private companies. These are mainly concentrated in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh and Hai Phong City. There are only about 50% factories specializing in manufacturing and assembly, with the rest doing business in service and repair, and small – medium sized processing. These business require continuous technology and knowledge upgrades to remain competitive in the current globalized environment.
MTA Vietnam 2018 hopes to present a channel for training, networking, new information and technology adoption.
Continuous support for Vietnam’s mechanical and manufacturing industry
MTA Vietnam has been supporting Vietnam’s manufacturing industries for over 15 years. The event has grown, in tandem with the industry. For the 2018 edition, more than 430 participating from 22 countries and regions are expected to showcase their products, services and technology innovation. With an exhibition space of over 12,000 square meters, the event welcomes 12 international group pavilions from Germany, Japan, Korea (4), Singapore, Taiwan (3), Thailand and the United Kingdom– all competing to serve the manufacturing sector in Vietnam and beyond.
Technology innovations, services and products on display comes from a wide representation of market leaders such as Amada, Bystronic, Blum, Carl Zeiss, Conic, DMG Mori, Dine, Doosan, Sodick, Mazak, Makino, Knuth, Kuka Robotics, Mitutoyo, Nikon, Optical Gaging, Renishaw, Karcher, Marposs, NT Tool, PH Horn, Ficep, MST, THK, Zoller, Muratec, Trumpf, Widin, Zitai, Heidenhain and many more local and international exhibitors.
Catching up with the advantageous education platform
More than just a trade show, MTA Vietnam’s conferences and technical seminars offers insights into new manufacturing and quality control concepts with many interesting topics and case studies on offer.
The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) will be featuring home grown technologies in a seminar entitled “Taiwan Smart Machinery”, offering an insight into Taiwanese smart machinery solution and intelligent systems integration – as factory automation becomes more important for product quality control and efficiency, ‘smart’ factory solutions become a critical competitive strategy for manufacturers. This seminar is not to be missed.
Multi Engineering Solutions Laboratory (MESLAB) and Lean Six Sigma Network continue to follow up on the widely discussed of Industry 4.0 technology deployment in the manufacturing sector, a very popular and current topic which is much sought after.
Start-up Pavilion – The spotlight of MTA Vietnam2018
New this year, Multi Engineering Solutions Laboratory (MESLAB) and the UBM Vietnam – the organization of MTA Vietnam - proudly announces an experimental industry collaboration in support of Vietnamese SME and Entrepreneurs in the precision engineering and manufacturing service industries – the creation of a Vietnam SME/Entrepreneur pavilion. This is a great opportunity for local emerging brands and companies to participate in the largest and most international trade show in manufacturing industry and show of their potential products and services, and, establish new partnerships.
Special exhibiting rates are offered to qualified companies. For more details and participation inquiries please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
“For manufacturing industries and investors to prosper and commit long term to host countries, a critical element is the development of local subcontracting and engineering support, without which industries will not be cost competitive and efficient. The local SME – small and medium size enterprises also supports a high level of technical employment – a high income wage bracket which stimulates economic consumption. This in turn becomes an incubator for future generations of engineering and technology entrepreneurs, a very large economic multiplier for the country. Both MESLAB and UBM Vietnam feels the time is ripe to offer more opportunities to local entrepreneur. Thus we also intend to roll out more program across all our engineering and technology trade events” said Mr. Tee, General Manager of UBM Vietnam, Organizer of MTA VIETNAM 2018.
