MTA VIETNAM2016 Continues to Advance as Vietnam’s Largest And Most Trustworthy Exhibition for Precision Engineering and Manufacturing Technologies
The show concluded with quality results, further solidifying its position as the event of choice for the Precision Engineering and Manufacturing Industry in Vietnam and beyond
Ho Chi Minh City, 26 July 2016 - The depth and breadth of the manufacturing technology value chain was on display at the recent MTA VIETNAM2016, staged from 5 – 8 July 2016 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Featuring a wide range of top-notch technologies and products, this year’s event was the largest and most comprehensive yet.
Throngs of industry visitors scoured MTA VIETNAM2016, with intentions to stay abreast of the latest best-of-breed manufacturing technologies, and strengthen their engineering and business networks. The show recorded an impressive attendance of 12,626 attendees from 24 countries and regions. This includes trade visitors, exhibiting staff, conference delegates and speakers, and members of the press, who had countless opportunities to partake in bustling business activities across 11,000 square meters of exhibition space.
“MTA VIETNAM2016 ended very well. Unwavering Support from Exhibitors
This 14th edition of MTA VIETNAM hosted 416 exhibitors from 24 countries and regions, of which 76 per cent comprised international brands, showing a healthy increase of 20 per cent compared to 2015. In these, there were 13 international group pavilions of Germany, Japan, Korea (6), Singapore, Taiwan (3) and Thailand. Exhibitor satisfaction with the quality of the show was remarkably high, as the event had set the stage for exhibitors to network with key decision-makers, grow their client base and build strategic alliances.
MTA VIETNAM was also a value-added platform for companies to announce major product launches and innovations. Making their debut into the Vietnamese market were DMG MORI Vietnam’s ecoMill 800V Vertical machining center; TRUMPF’s TruMark 1000 Laser marking machine; GF Machining Solutions’ AgieCharmilles FORM 200 EDM machine; Guhring’s RT 100 Trigon® drills; Awea Mechantronic’s FCV-620 5 Axis machining center; and Optical Gaging’s Flash 200 measurement system, amongst many others. Aside from these renowned international brands, up-and-coming Vietnamese exhibitors were also thrilled with the wide exposure the exhibition had brought to their extensive range of technology offerings.
Mr. Lee Joon Ho – Director, YG-1 VIENAM Co., Ltd expressed his vigorous support for the event, “Our company is YG-1, we mainly focus on producing cutting tools and tooling systems. MTA VIETNAM is a very helpful platform for us to tap into the Vietnam’s manufacturing market. It also helps us connect with plenty of potential customers as well as gain more crucial insight about our competitors. We will definitely return to MTA VIETNAM next year and for years to come.”
Echoing the same sentiments, Mr. Han Liu – Managing Director, Taiwan Combitech added, “We have taken part in a lot of exhibitions in Vietnam but for us, MTA is the most professional trade show where we can generate more sale leads and get customers’ attention.”
Also upbeat about the show was Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoa – Country Manager, Makino Vietnam Co., Ltd. “Makino is a leader in advanced manufacturing machine tool technology, particularly in metal-cutting and manufacturing technology, die-mold tools, machining centers and wire EDM machines. This 2016 event has significantly evolved into a larger scale, with a wider range of technologies and products. It is a great marketing platform where we can introduce our machines to a variety of customers as well as networking with other industrial leaders,” he shared.
Positive Feedback from Visitors
The substantial presence of key decision makers is a testament to the insurmountable importance and value MTA VIETNAM brings to the industry. Many trade visitors and group delegations from all over Vietnam and neighbouring countries attended the exhibition, flocking to the show floor to lookout for inventive technologies and solutions, new potential suppliers and viable business opportunities.
“We are from Hanoi and this is our first time visiting MTA VIETNAM. We were impressed with the strong presence of many big brands and a wide variety of machinery. We were warmly welcomed by exhibitors and we have found some interesting products that meet our manufacturing needs. We definitely come back next year,” remarked Mr. Ngo Tuan Minh – Industrial Engineering Expert, Viettel Group
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dung – Mold Technical Supervisor, Thien Long Group said, “We have been attending MTA VIENAM for years. It is one of the biggest exhibitions catering to the manufacturing industry in Vietnam. Our purpose of visit is to update ourselves on the latest technologies and trends available in the marketplace. So far, we have been very pleased with the exhibition. And we are planning to have more and more member visit to MTA VIETNAM2017.”
Mr. Tran Van Thinh – Deputy Manager, Technical Department No.2, Ton Dong A Corporation also added, “Visiting the exhibition for the first time, I was really impressed with the scale of the exhibition as well as the quality of exhibitors. It is a good platform for our engineering staffs to gain more knowledge about the manufacturing market and for the company to meet new potential suppliers. Definitely worth a visit!”
Brisk Sales at MTA VIETNAM2016
MTA VIETNAM2016 has broken the record in terms of sales and successful deals, with “Sold @ MTA” signs prominently displayed on many machines and equipment. Notable among sold machines included Quick Turn Primos 150S from Yamazaki Mazak, Vertical Machining Center PS65 and Wire EDMs from Makino, AgieCharmilles FORM 200 from GF Machining Solutions, Section Bending Machine RCMI130 from Taiwan Combitech, to name just a few.
Mr. Han Liu – Managing Director, Taiwan Combitech and Mr. Giordano Toninelli – Area Sales Manager, FACCIN shared, “We have taken part in a lot of exhibitions in Vietnam but for us, MTA is the most professional trade show where we can generate more sale leads and get customers’ attention. We are pleased to announce that we have sold one machine at MTA - a profile bending roll machine from our supplier FACCIN that is able to bend various materials such as aluminium, stainless steel, mild steel.”
“We have joined MTA VIETNAM for several years. This is a very good chance for us to network and forge relationships with a lot of potential customers. We have achieved many fruitful results in the very first day as we have already sold two of our machines and received many enquiries,” stated Mr. Ricky Hwa – General Director, Yamazaki Mazak Vietnam Co., Ltd.
Local exhibitors at MTA VIETNAM also received many positive responses from trade visitors, indicated by the number of “Sold @ MTA” signs from domestic companies. ASADA Vietnam was proudly displaying the “SOLD” signs across two of their machines - Pipe Threading Machine and Pipe Cutting Machine. Other successful deals included CNC Machining Center from HAAS (Bao Son Tech), Welding/ Cutting Equipment from Weldtec, Cutting Machines Seibo M50B and Accutex from Vietnam Precision Industrial Company, and numerous others.
Technical Conferences – A deep dive into high-value manufacturing
Not merely a product showcase, the four-day trade event was also filled with concurrent educational programs, where delegates were able to learn, network and get immersed in industry insights and topical debates. Organized by major local and international associations, six highly technical workshops were attended by more than 520 delegates. One of the main highlights of the workshops included, but were not limited to: Development cooperation in the integration process, Computerised production control systems for industrial manufacturing, and Material requirement planning in operations management. The workshops not only helped trade visitors expand their technological know-how, they also enabled them to keep abreast of the latest technology trends impacting the global market.
Additionally, Samsung Electronics was onboard with a full capacity vendor qualification technical sharing session that was jointly co-ordinated by the Korea International Trade Association and the event organizers, Singapore Exhibition Services and VCCI Exhibition Service.
The next edition of MTA VIETNAM will be held from 4 to 7 July 2017 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
