Held alongside the exhibition, the Samsung seminar entitled “Vietnam’s Manufacturing Industry Development – Samsung Local Vendor Pre-qualification”, co-hosted by Korea International Trade Association (KITA) and organisers of MTA VIETNAM has been taken place on 6 July. The seminar was aimed to solidify partnerships and share prospects with homegrown enterprises to be involved in Samsung’s supply chain. The program was a precious opportunity for trade delegates to network with Samsung Electronics Vietnam, as well as to gain a deep understanding of the quality conformance requirements needed to enroll in the South Korean tech giant’s supply chain.

Mr. Frank Oh – Vice President, Samsung Procurement Planning Group was the keynote speaker at this insightful seminar, along with the prominent presence of Mr. Nguyen Thang Son – Quality Assurance Director, Minh Nguyen Co., Ltd. A lot of productive discussions and sharing have been achieved among more than 120 trade delegates – who are industrial leaders and parts suppliers in Vietnam and beyond.


Followed by the seminar was the one-on-one business meetings between professionals hailing from Samsung Electronics Vietnam and other potential local assemblers and manufacturers.

Notable among the companies able to join this one-of-a-kind interviewing program included DKSH Technology, Guhring, Fischer Asia, TYG International, TUV Rheinland Vietnam, Optical Gaging, to name a few. The face-to-face meeting with the technology giant represented a great opportunity for qualified local parts suppliers and manufacturers to expand their businesses, as well as to forge partnership with Samsung.

Factory Visit Lighted Up The Exhibition

The second day has attracted a total of 97 group delegations from major factories and organizations – a healthy increase of 26% compared to last edition. Remarkable groups included Nibetek, Saigon Precision, Viettel, Vien Dong Marine & Petrol Engineering, Thien Long, UWC Precision, Engineering, Duy Tan Plastics and numerous others. The show has blossomed a high level of satisfaction among those group visitors.

High precision machines tools and manufacturing systems demonstrated on the show floor has attracted a certain interest from the group delegations, especially those who came from afar.

Lean Six Sigma Network’s Seminar - A Platform for Entrepreneurs

Hosted by Lean Six Sigma Network, the seminar entitled “Computerized Production Control Systems For Industrial Manufacturing” has been held on the second day of the event. Mostly covered by the knowledge about CiCC-LeanERP System and the advanced technique of plasma cutting and gouging technology, the program was crafted to enhance the visitors’ understanding about business performance through value innovation. The program was well attended with over 77 trade delegates and a strong line-up of keynote speakers.

Another seminar of Lean Six Sigma Network held alongside MTA VIETNAM is known as “Importance of Material Requirement Planning (MRP) in Operations Management”, which will be taken place on 7 July, expected to strongly encourage the Vietnamese entrepreneurship through prominent debates and discussions.
